Today when you mention Calling cards, most people think of prepaid phone cards.  But at the turn of the 17th century, Calling cards were a widely practiced form of social etiquette.  Making social calls was a ritual of Victorian life, and calling card trays graced the entry of most homes.  There was even a method of leaving a message with no words by folding a corner of the card: the folded top right of the card indicated congratulations, the bottom right a call of condolence, and the bottom left a farewell. Cards were carried in elegant card cases, often made of sterling, mother-of-pearl or paper mache.  Our  business card case is a stunning silver plated card holder with the lavender colored enamel embellished with butterflies and crystal accents.  You can carry  more than a dozen business cards or a combination of credit cards, business cards and even a few dollar bills.  Very durable, gift wrapped and comes black velveteen pouch.
