Our History:
Boutiques on the Avenue is the latest inspiration and creation of interior & product designer, Julie Lee. Founded in 2009, The Avenue was established as the online retail shopping mall of Julie Lee Company. But her history of retailing started long before this.
Beginning with vintage gift & garden retail stores in 1983 in the historic areas of Forest park in St. Louis & the quaint river town of St. Charles, Missouri, Julie Lee founded of several business establishments including J.J.'s Hatbox, Barthelemys, JulieLee Company, Vintage Paperworks, & MarshberryBuds.com. She has received recognition and awards for her product designs and notoriety for her stores in St. Charles which were published in Beautiful Shops In America. Many of her product designs have been featured with Home Shopping Network, Knott's Berry Farm, April Cornell, Fortunoff's, Speigels, Touchstone and Touch of Class Catalogs.
Julie Lee has enjoyed a long lasting fascination with collecting and selling Victorian & French period antiques, vintage paper, books, toiletries, fairies, gardening and aromatherapy. It is these passions that dictate to a large degree the selection of products you see in this online catalog.
